Loving Your Womb — The Birthplace for Creativity

Hello, friends.

I have given serious thought to what I mean when I use the term wombman. Am I referring to women only? Do I desire to connect only with humans granted the ability to reproduce? For women unable to produce children, are they no longer wombmen? Are we, as women, capable of producing more than tiny souls with big dreams? But isn’t that enough? What exactly am I saying here?

Ain’t I A Wombman?

To prevent myself from further spinning out into the abyss that is my mind, I had to pull out my good ol’ dictionary and have an “Ask Merriam” moment. Most of you know how smitten I am with words, so I’m always looking for an opportunity to break a word down and cozy up with what it really means. Womb. Woman. Creator. What’s it all about?

This line of thinking started with a bad date.

Before we break it all down, let me start from the beginning. Once upon a time, there was a girl who went on a date. It went well, so she decided to see him again. After being asked back to his place for the second date (bruh…), she couldn’t help but find him to be unimaginative, so she blocked him. The end.

Unimaginative. I like to make sure I’m using words correctly (even the words in my head), so I did a quick Google search on the term unimaginative.

To my surprise, alternative words for unimaginative are uncreative, unoriginal, sterile, barren, fruitless, infertile, and unproductive

Wait one minute. Lacking creativity is the same as lacking fertility? At that moment I became a fly on my own wall and watched my own jaw drop. Whoa.

If you’re a regular visitor to this site, then you know about my personal interest with the topic of infertility and reproductive issues. In doing my own research about fibroids, endometriosis and PCOS, I always seem to run into information about the womb not only being a warm place to house a growing baby, but also a sacred place to birth a growing dream or idea

Your womb is the source of your creativity.

Your womb is the starting place for more than just human beings (which is already a really, really big deal). It is the birthplace of your creativity and inspiration. The womb, the place where dreams are born, is far more magical than I knew.

I now understand that being a wombman goes far beyond body parts. Being a wombman isn’t about having breasts or ovaries. To have a womb is more than just having a uterus. Also important, to lack a uterus creates zero threat to your wombmanhood. If there is a place inside of you that harbors your ideas, dreams and inspiration, you have a womb. You have the ability to create life.

You have the ability to create, and so you are a wombman.

You are not broken. You’re blocked.

If you belong to a community of women suffering from issues related to infertility, Wombman Reclaimed was created for you. We are all wombmen on a mission to remove the blocks to our creativity – the barriers to our innate ability to produce life. Physically these barriers might be poor diet or unhealthy lifestyles. Emotionally and spiritually, we might need to rethink old thoughts and revisit the lies that shaped our current belief system.

Today I am releasing old beliefs about what it means to be a wombman. I am opening my womb’s mind to all that my own journey in wombmanhood wants to produce through me.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)

Until Soon,

Candace
